Only a couple of weeks to complete some of the term’s home challenges. Don’t forget to send them in each Friday so the children can share their fantastic work with their friends. Below is a reminder of the challenges set.
Pirate Day
To end the Under the Sea topic we will be having a Pirate Day on Friday 26th May. The children can come to school dressed as a pirate. (It doesn’t have to be anything fancy- they might just wear an eye patch and a stripy top!)
We will be completing lots of different Pirate activities throughout the day and it will hopefully be a fun end to the half term.
Many thanks in advance for your continued support.

Here is a challenge card to practise at home before your next WOW Active Assessment.
Woodthorpe Friends Announcement
To celebrate King Charles’ Coronation, and raise much needed funds for the school, Woodthorpe Friends have created a commerative tea towel for only £5 per item! If you would like to order one (or more) please fill in the order form here: https://forms.gle/mo8G6t1K8A3p2aSp9
Filling in an order form is a commitment to buy, payment on delivery. Please double check that your child is included to avoid disappointment, as some children were ill the week the pictures were completed.

Grow Challenge
Thank you for your support this week with our ‘Grow Challenge’. All the children participated brilliantly in this project and were proud of their finished products. Here are some pictures of what was produced in each class. As a school, we raised £311.16 which will be put towards technology in school.
Many thanks, Ms Lodge
