We’ve begun learning a new topic based on the story No Dinner! by Jessica Souhami. The story is set in India so we will be exploring the country’s culture, geography, religions, animals etc. We begun by looking at some Indian artefacts and we would encourage the children to bring in other or similar artefacts from home, to show and discuss with the class.
In the week beginning 27th March, we will be thinking about animals. As part of this we would like children to make a junk model of an Indian animal. Please could you collect different size boxes, no bigger than a cereal box and send them in at the beginning of this week. The bigger the boxes the more space they will take up when they come home (a few may be useful to create a class one)!! I have already started.
